Before you start
The Digital Karobar app is not on the Play Store or Microsoft Store — it is published only on this website. That is why your phone and computer show an "unknown source" warning the first time. This happens with every app that does not come from a store; each step below says exactly what to tap. Once allowed, updates do not ask again.
Tap "Download the app"
The green button at the top of this page — or scan the QR code with another phone. Open it in Chrome (not inside the Facebook / WhatsApp browser).
Chrome warning: "File might be harmful"
This appears for every APK. Tap "Download anyway". "DigitalKarobar.apk" lands in Downloads.
Open the file
Tap "Open" at the bottom, or tap "DigitalKarobar.apk" in the notification shade / Files app → Downloads.
Allow "Install unknown apps"
If the phone says "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps", tap "Settings" → turn on "Allow from this source" → go back (⟵).
Tap "Install"
If Play Protect shows "Unsafe app blocked" or "App scan", tap "More details" → "Install anyway". (You can also choose "Scan app" — it comes back clean.)
Open and sign in
Tap "Open", enter your shop number (DK-…), username and password. The "Digital Karobar" icon appears on your home screen.
Click "Download for Windows"
"Digital-Karobar-POS-Setup-….exe" lands in Downloads. No admin password needed.
Browser warning (if shown)
If Edge / Chrome says it "isn't commonly downloaded", click "⋯" next to the file → "Keep" → "Show more" → "Keep anyway".
Run the Setup
Double-click the file in Downloads.
"Windows protected your PC"
On the blue screen click "More info" → "Run anyway". This is the usual SmartScreen warning shown for every app from a new publisher.
It installs by itself
The app opens in a few seconds. A "Digital Karobar POS" shortcut is added to the Desktop and Start Menu — if it is ever deleted, the app puts it back next time.
Sign in to your shop
Shop number (DK-…), username and password. Set up the printer and scanner from Settings → Printer.
No. Android and Windows show these warnings for every app installed outside the Play Store / Microsoft Store — they only mean the app did not come from a store. The app is published only on the Digital Karobar website, and each version's SHA-256 is listed below.
When a new version is out the app tells you. Download it from this page and install the same way — over the old app, all bills and data stay. It does not ask for permission again.
No. Bills, credit book and stock live on the shop's server; sign in on a new phone or computer and everything is there.
Download only from this page. A file forwarded on WhatsApp could have been changed.
Android: long-press the app icon → Uninstall. Windows: Settings → Apps → "Digital Karobar POS" → Uninstall.
Is it safe?
Yes — it is Digital Karobar's own app, published only on this website. Because it is not from the Play Store, your phone asks for permission the first time. When a new version comes out the app tells you and updates from this page — your data stays.
